Lieutenant Colonel Ronnie Robinson

Lt. Col. Ronnie Robinson joined the Metropolitan Police Department as a Police Officer on April 30, 1990. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in November of 1999. As a Sergeant, he served in the Intelligence Division.

Lt. Col Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in February of 2005. He served in the Third District, Juvenile Division, and Crime Suppression Unit.

In January of 2009, Lt. Col. Robinson was promoted to the rank of Captain. He served as the Commander of the Second District and the Special Operations Unit.

In January 2013, Lt. Col. Robinson was promoted to the rank of Major and assigned as the Commander of the North Patrol Division.

On September 30, 2015 Lt. Col. Robinson was promoted to his current position and assigned to the Assistant Chief of Police and will command the Bureau of Community Outreach.

On April 15th, 2018, Lt. Colonel Robinson was assigned to the North Patrol Area Station as Deputy Chief.

On January 1st, 2019, Lt. Col. Robinson was assigned to the Bureau of Investigative Services as the Deputy Chief and presently holds that position.

Throughout his career at the Department, Lt. Colonel Ronnie Robinson has received a Chief Letter of Commendation and also Officer of the Month Awards.
