Become a Police Officer

Civilian employees are not police officers, but their expertise and knowledge help to support police officers as well as the overall mission of the Department. From administrative clerks to attorneys, computer programmers to custodians, firearms examiners to fingerprint technicians, mechanics to mailroom clerks and radio installers to receptionists—we’ve got your career path covered! Civilian employees are integral to the operations of the Department and while police officers are the front lines, the behind the scenes operations of civilian employees help keep the Department going.
