Eighth District North Patrol Division
Dear Citizens, I’m Captain Steven Mueller, Commander of the 8th Police District. I started my career in the 8th District in 1983, shortly after graduating from the Police Academy. During that time, I learned the rich history of The Ville, The Greater Ville and Lewis Place Neighborhoods and also had the opportunity to get to know the District and its residents. In January of 2009 I was fortunate to return to the 8th District, this time as Commander. We are fortunate to have so many dedicated and ambitious officers who work to aggressively attack crime in the area. We closely monitor and analyze the crimes in your neighborhoods in an effort to prevent future crimes from happening. I encourage you to do your part in making an impact on crime. The surest way to help prevent future crimes is to work closely with our officers by reporting crimes and suspicious activity. An active Neighborhood Watch program can make a big difference in reducing crime in the 8th District. Involved citizens really do make a difference!
