North Patrol Division
Welcome From Captain Spicer
In January 2013, I began my service as the Commander of the Seventh District. The Seventh District officers are dedicated to providing a safe environment for our residents, workers, and visitors. The officers strive to create new, as well as strengthen existing partnerships with our neighborhood organizations and business community. Working together as a partnership with the community is key to our mission of reducing crime and making our citizen’s feel safer. District Seven is an extremely diverse community. There are many stately homes, as well as renovations and new construction throughout the District. Furthermore, Washington University is in close proximity to our District. Many visitors are attracted to Districts Sevens entertainment area known as the Delmar Loop, which is the home of the Pageant, both ethnic and American restaurants as well as many specialty stores for shopping. While our patrol focus will be based on identifying potential problem areas and implementing “hot-spot” policing as a means of prevention of crime, we will also continue to assist our community in dealing with quality of life issues. As the Commander of District Seven, I will not only be available to our community, but also committed to doing my best to ensure that the Seventh District is a safe place for our residents.
