Major Michael Sack

Commander - Professional Standards

Major Michel Sack joined the Metropolitan Police Department as a Police Officer June 23, 1994. After graduating the Police Academy he was assigned to the Fourth District and Central Patrol Detective Bureau and Special Services Division.

Major Michael Sack was promoted to Lieutenant in April 18, 2007 and assigned to the Seventh District until he was promoted again on December 17, 2008 as Captain and transferred to Crimes Against Persons.

On September 30, 2015, Captain Sack was promoted to Major and served as the Commander of the Central Patrol Division. On April 15, 2018 he was transferred to Bureau of Professional Standards as the Commander.

Major Sack has received 2 Officer of the Year Awards, 3 Awards of Excellence Awards and a Chief Letter of Commendation.

Major Sack has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication/ARTS from Cardinal Glennon College. He has a Master’s degree in Divinity from Kenrick Seminary and a Master’s degree in Business and Organization Security Management.

Major Sack was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Reserves.

Major Sack attended and graduated from the FBI Academy in 2014.
